Part-Time Teacher

Virtue University School is seeking part-time teachers for the 2026–2027 school year who are passionate about Christ-centered education, classical learning, and helping students thrive academically, spiritually, socially, and emotionally.
We are looking for teachers who desire to partner with families, build meaningful relationships with students, and provide an exceptional education rooted in Jesus Christ. Our school serves students with a commitment to academic excellence, spiritual formation, and instruction that is thoughtfully tailored to each child’s needs.

Position Overview
The Part-Time Teacher will be responsible for instructing students using Virtue University School’s curriculum for the assigned grade level. This role includes planning, preparing, and delivering instructional activities; assessing student progress; communicating with parents and school administration; and helping shepherd students toward healthy spiritual formation.
This is an in-person, on-campus part-time position for Tuesdays and Thursdays, with potential Fridays.
Compensation
This position offers a fixed part-time salary of $20,000 for the 2026–2027 school year. We anticipate offering full-time positions in the future. Please indicate in your application if you would also like to be considered for a future administrative role.
Open Teaching Positions
Teacher positions are available for:
- Kindergarten
- 1st Grade
- Multi-age group: Grades 2–3
- Multi-age group: Grades 4–5
- Multi-age group: Grades 6–8

Key Responsibilities
The Part-Time Teacher will:
- Instruct students using Virtue University School’s curriculum for the assigned grade level.
- Plan, prepare, and deliver meaningful instructional activities.
- Assess student learning and communicate progress to school administration and parents.
- Shepherd students in a way that supports healthy spiritual formation.
- Create a classroom culture that reflects Christ-centered love, truth, structure, encouragement, and respect.
- Teach effectively in a neurodiverse, multi-age classroom setting.
- Use proven instructional strategies that support different learning styles and student needs.
- Participate in professional development activities.
- Communicate clearly and respectfully with school staff and families.
- Participate in school activities and programs as noted on the staff calendar.
General Faculty Qualifications
Qualified candidates should:
- Support the school’s mission to provide accessible, exceptional education rooted in Jesus Christ and tailored to each student’s needs.
- Desire to partner with families to cultivate hope, strength, confidence, and purpose in their children.
- Be able and willing to teach in a neurodivergent, multi-age classroom using proven teaching strategies.
- Be open to training in the school’s cognitive-training model.
- Desire to equip students with an academically rigorous, comprehensive, classical Christian education.
- Help students think deeply, grow in wisdom, and engage faithfully with the complex issues of today’s society.
- Be committed to building strong, supportive relationships with students.
- Be willing to go above and beyond to help students thrive.
- Hold a minimum of a bachelor’s degree. A B.S. or B.A. in Education is preferred.
The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will embrace a Christ-centered approach to education and see teaching as more than delivering lessons. This teacher will view students as whole persons created by God and will seek to joyfully support their spiritual, academic, social, and emotional growth.
The ideal candidates will be joyful, patient, steady, thoughtful, and relational. They will be able to maintain high expectations while adapting instruction for students who learn at different paces. They will care deeply about helping students develop perseverance, responsibility, self-control, confidence, and a love for learning.
Because Virtue University School serves students in a neurodiverse, multi-age setting, the ideal teacher will be willing to learn and apply strategies that support attention, memory, executive functioning, reading, writing, math, and emotional regulation. Training in the school’s cognitive-training model will be provided.
